The little gospel of self help for winners!

The gospel of Christ isn’t a self-help manual – it’s not secret knowledge that enables a winners life of blessing e.g. wealth, prestige, righteous sex and the partner (s) of your choosing. It won’t help you ‘manifest’ your own desires, bending reality to your tightly wound wants and needs. If you are so intend on getting God to bend reality to your needs – your simply detach from reality. Here’s a clue, if the voice or visions and dreams of god are all about you and getting what you want – you’re not on the narrow path friend. You’re in a small ‘g’ – god bubble – on a wide and luxurious path, that your probably not even making the most of due your cultural religious restrictions.  This path promises much – but like Alice you’re going to be getting a lot smaller the longer you go astray, as will be your humanity – the best of what makes you – you.

The gospel of Christ, is the living will and spirit of Jesus – it probes the depths of us, it leads us into trust – faith and exorbitant costly love. It free us from living as if this life is all about us – its where we become – we quicken: a people of who know hope like a lifelong lover, a people of inextinguishable light, of rare imagination and inspiration – a tender folk, whose banner is kindness. A hardy folk, who sometimes lose the rock pilgrim path - yet will press on the hight and sights that all thought were impossible.
