A Church for Everyone

Mosaic is a gathering of Jesus followers who aspire to promote justice, embrace mercy, and tread humbly. A haven for the un-churched, the Wanderers, and above all, the disregarded.

We seek for everyone to discover a warm embrace and a place to feel accepted and nurtured. Establishing community and family cannot be achieved in just a couple of hours on Sunday, so we intertwine our lives and goals with God throughout the week.

Delve into the insights of theologians like Moltmann or Heschel while sharing a pint; join us in our homes for a leisurely meal followed by activities ranging from prayer, Bible study, or devising spontaneous or intentional acts of love. Join us in our community meal in Maryhill, guerilla gardening or act of direct action.

Our worship on Sunday is as varied as we are: you will find Franciscan liturgy, psalm singing, chant and occasional banjo or spirituals.

Our theology is a generous orthodoxy married to how we live our lives. We want to live well, in love, before God, with each other, and to encourage you to live likewise.

Sunday at 3:45pm

Hyndland Community Centre

From seven minute preach offs - to table discussion and a healthy dose of heckling - we are a people who love to openly wrestle with the text. Sundays are where we each share, confess our sins and hurts, building this body and each other up in love. From love feasts to a cappella worship, we gather with Christ as our centre and delve the depths of what it means to love and follow him as a people.

Upcoming:

Join us this Sunday the 24th of November is a feast. Early Christians would gather over a meal - community was important, people were important - did not Jesus say to love another? Join our community in sung grace and celebration. 3:45 at Novar Drive

7. 30pm on Friday 22nd of November

Drygate Brewery

Every few weeks Mosaic gets together at Drygate Brewery on a Friday night to discuss a topic of interest to the community while enjoying a pint and (optional) cigar. Past topics have included Revolution, Reformation 2.0, Pagan spirituality, Heaven and Hell, why be a Christian, Biblical Marriage and many others!

Next topic: Is Jesus the only way to Eternal Life? In John 14:5 Jesus himself says that "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." What does this mean? Does this mean that people who have never heard of Jesus and his Good News cannot get into Heaven? What about those brought up under different religions or cultures? Join us to tell us you view on this topic after an introduction by David and Mary.

Every Wednesday at 6:30pm
